It’s #FlashbackFriday! It is isn’t it? Yes, yes it is! And it is time for another episode from The Wayback Machine! We’re turning the clock back to June 3rd, 2011 and an episode of The Shrinking Man Project. The plan for this episode was to feature the live recording of The Shrinking Man Project, but the recording suffered a couple of power failures, so this is a regular episode of the podcast featuring audio recorded on Monday afternoon at Balticon 45. You can hear in the audio that all of our voices were very hoarse for talking all weekend long. Our topic for Balticon was Exercise and Creativity.
Thanks again to everyone who came out to the live show.
Enjoy the show. See you next time!

Oops! Looks like somehow I overshot #FlashbackFriday. So instead we’ve got um… uh… #MasterFeedMonday? Yeah. Something like that.
So, anyway. Today the Wayback Machine takes us to May 27th, 2011, and the last episode of The Shrinking Man Project before Balticon 45. This episode was actually released right before Balticon began and includes a run-down of my Balticon preparations, and a review of my Balticon 45 panel schedule.
The promo for this episode is The Seekrit Projeckt podcast, bringing great projects out of obscurity.
Enjoy the show. See you next time!

#FlashbackFriday is upon us again! This week The Wayback Machine is taking us back to May 19th, 2011 and episode 37 of Galley Table. It is very appropriate that we’re looking back two years ago as the Galley Table crew gathers to talk about our plans for Balticon, just as we’re preparing for Balticon again this year. This is an all crew episode, so no guests this time, but we are name dropping like crazy! Hopefully this will help whet your appetite for this year’s Balticon.

Time once again for #FlashbackFriday! Today we’re going back to May 18th, 2011 for another episode of The Shrinking Man Project. With Balticon looming on the horizon it seemed a good idea to address different ways to get through a convention without laying waste to your weight loss program. These suggestion should be good for upcoming conventions as well.
This week’s promo is from Thomas Reed and his series of Bitstrips web cartoons.
Enjoy the show. See you next week!

Once again, it is #FlashbackFriday, and time for another journey with the Wayback Machine. Today we’ve got audio from May 15th, 2011. To wit, episode 35 of Galley Table, featuring guests JR Murdock and Michell Plested. You see, writers are a superstitious and cowardly lot, and they construct various rituals and superstitions to fend off bad writing mojo, or to get themselves into the mood for writing. In this episode, we ask the panel what their rituals are, and how they feel these traditions have effected their writing.

This #FlashbackFriday, the Wayback Machine takes us to May 11th, 2011 and another installment of The Shrinking Man Project. In this episode I am getting back to my diet and exercise program after having a blood clot removed in April. And dealing with the pre-Balticon excitement.
The promo for this episode was J. Daniel Sawyer’s Free Will and Other Compulsions. The podcast was in progress two years ago, but soon fizzled while Dan focused on finishing writing the book. Now, the podcast is back in production as Dan looks into finishing off the Antithesis Progression. Hopefully we’ll be hearing new episodes soon.

Finally getting the chance to get the Wayback Machine going again for this week’s #FlashbackFriday. I hope that I’ll be able to keep this up for a while. Today’s jaunt into the past takes us back to May 6th of 2011, a date when Philosophy returned to the Shrinking Man Project. This is one of the most important Philosophy episodes I’ve ever done on The Shrinking Man Project, as it addresses all the pain and anguish that people put themselves through for the sake of a number on a scale. If you’ve ever found yourself fretting over the fact that you’re starving yourself and your clothes are falling off of your body, but the damned scale won’t budge! Well, this would probably be a good episode for you to listen to.
This episode also features a promo from Neil Colquhoun for his story Words from Walter. Walter is an undead hitman in Neil’s bizarre wold of supernatural Noir. If you like Noir, or horror, you’ll probably want to check this story out if you haven’t done so already.
With luck, you’ll see more from me next week ,and see another #FlashbackFriday episode next week. For now, enjoy the podcast! Talk to you later.

Time once again for something from the Wayback Machine. I’m actually going to try to make this a regular #FlashbackFriday event. We’ll just have to see how successful I am at keeping things scheduled.
Anywho, This Friday we are turning the clock back to May 5, 2011 to revisit an all crew episode of The Galley Table. In episode thirty-five, we’re talking about gods and their place in your story. We talk about some of our favorite deific figures in stories and how they are effectively, and non-effectively used. No matter your personal faith, we still feel that there is a place for god-like figures in literature.

A week has passed since my last update, and I haven’t been entirely idle. I have, however, narrowed down the scope of the projects that I’ve been working on to something more manageable. In 2012, I managed to start a number of new projects, but I didn’t really succeed in finishing off any of the ones that had carried over from 2011. Soooo… top priority right now is finish off existing projects before starting any of the new ones.
Fortunately, it looks like I just finished off one of those projects… [click to continue…]
