#NaNoWriMo 2012, Day 7

Another short post today, folks. It seems like I got most of my words out in my earlier political essay. It hasn’t been an easy day. I woke up sick this morning, suffering from some overnight post-nasal drip. Bleah. I called in to work and went back to sleep and stayed there for quite a long time. When I got up, I had a bit of difficulty getting myself up and functioning. Then, when I did get my brain going, I ended up writing something else.

After dinner, I finally got around to working on my Novel. I only got in 883 words today, which means I’m falling behind a bit. I wrote approximately half of what I should have. Unfortunately, I”m running out of steam and need to get some rest.

Tomorrow, I’m taking off from work to get ready for a trip down to Charlotte this weekend. We need to get everything packed and ready so we can  hit the road early on Friday morning. For now, I’m calling it a day. See you all tomorrow, folks.

Oh rest is a wonderful thing. I got caught up with a little bit of sleep, and it helped me greatly last night with words. I got over 2,000. Which helped for those days ahead when I won’t get many words out, or have the time with holiday.

At least you still got some words out. That’s the best part! To keep going.

I do hope you feel better soon, and get some rest. It’ll make a difference in the days to come with writing. Writing tired and sick is the pits. So here’s to a quick recovery.

Have a good time over the weekend. And maybe, if you are driving, take a tape recorder and talk the words out. 🙂 That would count, right?

I have been doing well so far in that I’ve gotten SOME words written every day. I may have logged behind the last few days, but I keep moving forwards.

Fortunately for me, I am not driving today, so I get to use my iPad and Bluetooth keyboard to write during the entire drive. It sounds more productive than it is, but it lets me get something done instead of wasting the hours in the car.

Oh I believe it is productive in the car. I have to say I have some of my best ideas either in the car or when I lay down in bed. At least at bed I can grab the tablet on the end stand. I try to remember it all when driving to write when I get to where I’m going.

And great to keep moving forward, THAT is all that matters. Getting further than you were before November started.

Have a great and safe trip.

Car pooling is a great thing. Especially if you’re a writer and a passenger. It gives you time to let your mind wander, and the freedom to write down the ideas that come to you.

I’ll have to dig up my stats from last year and see how my big word days compared to my travel days…
