Last May, I got to take part in a very special cover reveal for Starla Huchton‘s new novel Maven. This was an unprecedented event for Starla, and the resulting buzz from it was orders of magnitudes greater than what she had anticipated. This proved to be a great step up for the launch of her book on June 3rd and for her marketing machine to gear up for the summer. And now, we’re going to do it again.

For those of you who missed the last cover reveal, or who have forgotten who Starla is, She is a multi-talented artist. She released her first novel, The Dreamer’s Thread in 2009 as a full cast podcast production. This production got her not one, but two spots as a finalist for the 2010 Parsec Awards and started her in a new career as a voice talent, with credits including The Dunesteef Audio Fiction Magazine, The Drabblecast, Erotica a la Carte, and narrations for Darkfire Productions including The Emperor’s Edge series, and This Path We Share. Her writing has been featured on the Erotica a la Carte podcast, and her short stories for the Tales from the Archives podcast and The Gearheart have earned her Parsec Finalist spots in the 2012 and 2013 Parsec Awards, respectively. Starla won first place in the Fantasy/Science Fiction category of The Sandy Writing Contest (held by the Crested Butte Writers Conference) for her Steampunk adventure novel Master of MythMaven is Starla’s third novel. On top of all that, Starla has a very nice business as a freelance graphic designer specializing in creating book covers for independent authors and publishers over at Designed by Starla. And if all that wasn’t enough, she spends her days training her three Minions and providing home base for her military husband. It’s no wonder she doesn’t sleep.

Anyway, Starla is back with book 2 of her Endure Series, the sequel to Maven, and today we’ll be giving you a special look at  the cover for the new volume. The name of  the book is Nemesis, and, like Maven, it is being published under the name S. A. Huchton. Starla continues her Science Fiction Romance saga with a new chapter in the lives of Dr. Lydia Ashley and Daniel Brewer. The book is scheduled to be released on August 26th, so mark your calendars now.

What’s this story about? Well, here is how Starla describes it:

Tech genius Daniel Brewer isn’t the only one with a romantic history. Already weighed down with the impossible problem of the Maven Initiative’s plans for world domination and disaster, Dr. Lydia Ashley is finding it more and more difficult to keep things in balance. With an old flame reappearing and the schemes of a vindictive new rival thrown into the mix, her hopes for a life with Daniel may be on the brink of annihilation.

When Lydia’s past is brought to light, one big secret could destroy everything.

And now the moment you’ve been waiting for, the cover for Nemesis:

Nemesis, available August 26th

Now, those of you who have read Maven might be saying to themselves, “Wait a minute! That’s not what Daniel looks like!” Well, I’ve been assured by the artist, who happens to be the author, that you are correct. That’s not Daniel. Who is it? Well, you’ll just have to wait until August 26th to find out…

If you’d like to reach out to Starla and let her know how you feel about this merciless teasing, you can contact her via her Facebook Page, or on Twitter @Riznphnx. Or you can go and leave a comment on the Nemesis Goodreads page.

Did you miss out on the release of Maven? Do you need to catch up? Well, then you can check out the Maven Goodreads page and see what others are saying, or download an Excerpt from Maven Chapter 6 on Wattpad. Want a print copy of Maven? You can find them at Createspace and at Amazon. Prefer an e-book? No problem. You can get Maven for the Amazon Kindle, and in other formats through Smashwords and Barnes & Noble.
